Our Story

Grace Bible Church held its first Sunday worship service on August 16th, 2020

Grace Bible Church was sent by Northwest Bible Church in St. Michael MN, in partnership with the Pillar Network and the North American Mission Board.

Monticello, MN is home for Pastor Jacob Hatfield and his family. Born and raised in Monticello, he has a natural connection and heart for the community and its people. For several years the Lord has been preparing Jacob to plant a church through seminary training, pastoral ministry experience, and a growing burden to see the people of Monticello reached with the good news of salvation in Jesus.

After coming to Northwest Bible Church in 2015, Jacob began to speak to them about his desire to plant in Monticello. Over the next few years Jacob was brought on staff as a Worship Leader, and a Pastoral Assistant, and finally full time as Pastor of Worship and Family Ministry, while serving as the church planting resident. A group of families started meeting in 2019 and developing mission, vision and values for GBC. Through God’s faithfulness and direction the church was formed and established. In the fall of 2020 our first Sunday Morning worship service took place.

God’s kindness to us has not ceased since that point. God continues to provide for all of our needs. After 3 years of renting space from A Glorious Church the building was able to be purchased in 2023. Now being firmly planted in the Monticello community we are as committed as ever to preaching the gospel to those in our community and strengthening the body of Christ here.

Grace Bible Church now meets every Sunday morning at 9am at 300 Riverview Dr, Monticello MN 55362
